How MedQ delivers, where, and how delivery is priced and confirmed.

Where we deliver
MedQ delivers nationwide within South Africa. Collections from Johannesburg are available by arrangement.
Buyers outside South Africa are quoted on the Regional supply page. Cross-border freight, export documents and destination charges are not the “nationwide South Africa” service and are never assumed from a website price.
Delivery and collection charges
- Johannesburg collection: R0 delivery charge, by arrangement after MedQ confirms the order is ready for collection.
- Courier delivery within South Africa: the delivery charge is calculated from destination, weight, volume and handling requirements and is confirmed before payment.
- Bulky, hazardous, multi-site and regional deliveries: quoted separately before payment or order commitment.
For eligible fixed-price online orders, the product subtotal is VAT-inclusive. If courier delivery is selected, MedQ confirms the delivery charge before the pro-forma invoice is paid. A customer may instead select Johannesburg collection at R0 delivery charge where collection is suitable for the product.
Lead times
Lead time depends on the product, quantity, supplier availability and delivery address. Where a product page states a typical lead time, it remains subject to confirmation. For formal quotations and specialised products, the applicable lead time is confirmed in writing before order commitment. If a date is critical — a tender deadline, facility opening or stock-out — include it with your requirement.
What to give us
- A physical delivery address, not a post box.
- A contact name and telephone number for the receiving site.
- Receiving hours, and any access restriction — booking systems, loading bay, lift dimensions, security clearance.
- For bulky goods, whether there is equipment on site to offload.
On arrival
Check the delivery against the delivery note before signing. Note any shortage or visible damage on the delivery note at the time of delivery and tell MedQ as soon as possible, so the claim can be made against the carrier while it is still open.
Multi-site and scheduled delivery
MedQ can quote a delivery schedule across several sites or across several dates for institutional and standing orders. Send the schedule with your product list.
Regional shipments
Regional orders are quoted separately for the named destination. The quotation states the goods value, freight where MedQ arranges it, the Incoterm and the documents included.
The buyer remains responsible for destination permits, regulator requirements, duties and taxes unless a written quotation explicitly allocates them otherwise.
